Napoleon SaronyAmerican, 1821 - 1896

Napoleon Sarony was born in Quebec in 1821. He moved to New York in 1836 and worked for Currier & Ives before forming his own lithography business with James Major. In 1867, in left the lithography business to open a photography studio, soon becoming a promnent and successful portrait photographer. He died in 1896.
