Nathan Page Palmer

BiographyNathan Page Palmer, also known as N. P. Palmer, was born in Danville Vermont in 1843. On September 8, 1862, he enlisted in the 15th Vermont Infantry Division in the Civil War, and re-enlisted for service September 3rd 1864 serving in the First Vermont Cavalry. He participated in notable conflicts including the Cedar Creek battle in Virginia. During the early 1870s he married Sarah A. (maiden name unknown) and settled in Thompsonville, CT. They had two children, Warren Prescott and Olive M. He worked as a photographer for the Samuel Brown Post and The Thompsonville Press, and had his own studio. During the 1890s, N. P. Palmer worked as a Real Estate Agent and negotiated numerous land transactions. He died on May 24, 1918 and is buried in the Old St. Patrick Cemetery in Enfield, CT.
