BiographyJohn Owen Pitkin was born in East Hartford, Connecticut, in 1803. He worked as a silversmith between 1826-1840. He partnered with his brother, Walter M. Pitkin (1808-1885), starting in 1830. From 1840 to 1850, John Owen Pitkin worked as a jeweler in Hartford, Connecticut. He died in 1891.
