C. R. Folsom

A photograph of the New Haven Gun Club (2009.213.1) is stamped on the verso, "C. R. FOLSOM / Amateur Photographer / 118 CROWN STREET, NEW HAVEN, CONN." The 1880 Federal Census lists a Charles N. Folsom living in New Haven, but he was five years old at the time and the Gun Club photograph appears to date from the late nineteenth century. It is possible Charles N. Folsom took the photograph when he was in his late teens or early twenties.
