Robert Englehart
BiographyRobert Englehart was born in Indiana and studied at the American Academy of Art in Chicago. He worked as a cartoonist and illustrator for Chicago Today, the Fort Wayne (IN) Journal-Gazette, and the Dayton (OH) Journal Herald before joining the staff of the Hartford Courant in 1980 as a full-time editorial cartoonist. The Connecticut Historical Society has a large collection of Englehart's original drawings, chiefly from the 1980s.
