BiographySamuel L. Pitkin was born around 1803, the son of Sarah Parsons. (Sarah Parsons was the great great grandaughter of the Reverend Eleazer Mather, the brother of Reverend Samuel Mather.) He married Mary Ann Lewis of New Haven on 20 December 1831. He died suddenly on 18 February 1845 in East Hartford, Connecticut.
