BiographyNorman Church Spencer was born in Hartford, Connecticut on 15 October 1876. He was a graduate of the Sheffield Scientific School ay Yale and a partner in the civil engineering firm, Spencer & Washburn. In May 1931, he shot himself in the basement of his Hartford, Connecticut home following a period of despondency. He is buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
