Elizabeth CheneyAmerican, 1865 - 1898

Elizabeth Cheney was born in 1865, the daughter of Knight Dexter Cheney (1837-1907) and Ednah Dow Smith (1841-1862).

She married Alfred Cowles, II in 1890. They had four children: Alfred Cowles, III (b. 1891); Knight Cheney Cowles (1892-1970); John Cheney Cowles (1894-1972); and Thomas Hooker Cowles (1895-1927).

In 1898, she was living in Chicago, Illinois where she died of tuberculosis.
