BiographyStephen White was born on 8 June 1718, the eldest son of Captain John White and Susannah Alling, daughter of the Honorable John Alling of New Haven. He graduated Yale in 1736 and was ordained as the minister at the church at Windham on 24 December 1740. He married on 2 September 1741, Mary Dyer, the daughter of Colonel Thomas Dyer, and sister of the Honorable Eliphalet Dyer. They had thirteen children. He died on 9 January 1794.
