Robert Wells IV

BiographyCaptain Robert Wells, IV was born in Wetherfield or Newington Connecticut 17 February 1740. He was the son of Captain Robert Wells, III and Abigail (Burnham) Wells. He served in the French and Indian War and was apart of the Ticonderoga expedition of 1758. He was also a Captain in the Revolutionary War, raising troops and supplies. He married Abigail Hurlburt in Newington on 24 January 1760. He died 3 July 1812 and was buried in Wetherfield, survived by four children.
