BiographySamuel McClellan was born 1730, in Worcester, Massachusetts, the son of William McClellan (d. 1751). His first wife was Jemima Chandler. He married second, Rachel Abbe. He married third, Eunice (Stearns) Follansby.
He served as an Ensign and a Lieutenant in the French and Indian War, and also fought in the Revolutionary War. In 1784 he became Brigadier General of the 5th Brigade, Connecticut Militia.
He died in 1807 in Woodstock, Connecticut.
