Fenn Mallett

BiographyFenn Mallett was born in 1811, the son of John and Polly Mallett of New Milford, Connecticut. His father was of Huguenot ancestry. In 1837 he married Susan C. Downs of Southbury. In 1848 he purchased property and obtained a tavern license. He was recorded as a taverner on the census of 1850 and as a farmer at his death in 1851. Whether his hotel failed or he combined vocations is unknown.
