BiographyThe Hartford Knights were a professional minor league football team based in Hartford, Connecticut. They were founded in 1968 as a member of the Atlantic Coast Football League (ACFL) replacing the Hartford Charter Oaks (1964-1968).

In 1969, the Hartford Knights became the affiliate for the Buffalo Bills of the American Football League. The Knights won the Atlantic Coast Football League title in 1968. After the ACFL ceased operations in 1970, the Knights joined the Seaboard Football League. The Knights won the Seaboard Football League title in 1972. In 1973, the Knights joined the re-formed ACFL for a final year.
