Frances J. BudleskiAmerican, 1914 - 2007

Frances (Fran) J. Budleski was born in 1914 to Franciszek (Frank) Budleski and his wife Bogumita Tyska. Frances married Edward C. Dapkus around 1954, and they had a son, Stan. She played the violin, viola, piano, organ, and pipe organ and taught music in the Wallingford school system for over 30 years. She attended the New Haven Institute of Music, and later attended graduated Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York during the the 1930s, and continued her education at New York Uiversity where she received a master's degree in music aducation around 1940. She performed with several different groups in many different venues around Connecticut, including the Meriden Symphony Orchestra, and the Wallingford Symphony Orchestra. She continued to perform in the Hamden Symphony, and provided weekly sing-along concerts at the Wallingford Senior Center. She died on 7 July 2007.
