BiographyMary Williams was born on 15 September 1765, the daughter of Reverend Eliphalet Williams (1727-1803) of East Hartford and Mary Williams (1725-1776). She married John Porter (1757-1806) of Wethersfield on 20 May 1784. The couple were married by her father. They had at least one son, Henry Chester Porter (1797-1865). Mary Williams Porter died on 19 August 1844.
