William Jewett

BiographyWilliam Jewett was born in Connecticut. He was apprenticed to a carriage painter in New London, Connecticut before moving to New York City to work for Samuel Lovett Waldo. The two became partners, and continued in business together collaborating on portraits until Jewett's retirement.
