John W. Allderige

BiographyJohn W. Allderige was born in England in 1854 and came to the United States as a child in 1856. He first appears as a photographer in Waterbury, CT, in partnership with Leroy S. Kendall. From 1878 through 1891 or later, he was in business as J. W. Allderige. In the 1900 Federal Census he is listed as living in Wallingford, CT with his family and his occupation is given as photographer. He may have been related to William Allderige, who was also born in England and was also active as a photographer in central Connecticut.
