Charles Ethan Porter

Charles Ethan Porter was born in Hartford, Connecticut, the son of William and Mary (Daupin or Dolphin) Porter (d. 26 June 1906). He graduated from Rockville High School, Rockville, Connecticut in 1865, and then studied in Paris for five years. He was a widely known artist, and held exhibitions in Connecticut in Hartford and Rockville, and Springfield, Massachusetts. He died in Rockville on 6 March 1923.
