BiographyLydia Smith Fales (1790-1877) was born 15 November 1790, baptized 17 April 1791, the daughter of William Fales (1758-1797) and Mary Smith (1764-1814) of Bristol, Rhode Island. She was married on 14 February 1816 to Captain Zechariah French (1786-1822) who died at sea. Lydia Smith Fales died 1 March 1877. She and her husband are buried in the Juniper Hill burying ground in Bristol, Rhode Island.
