BiographyWealthy Amanda Badcock (1824-1897) was born in Coventry, Connecticut. She was the daughter of David Badcock (1795-1830) and Mary Barrows (1803-1885) . In about 1845, she married William Curtis (1821-1885). She died about 1897, possibly in Meriden, Connecticut, or Boston, Massachusetts.
Analysis of Wealthy's family information leads one to conclude that she spent most of her life in Coventry. She and her husband do appear in Meriden in the 1880 census, but all of their other census information indicates residence in Coventry. The Meriden City Directories from 1886 to 1896 list "Curtis, Wealthy A., wid of William."
