Joseph Pratt

Joseph Pratt was born 6 June 1779 in Hartford, Connecticut. He was the son of Susannah Caldwell Pratt and Joseph Pratt. He was the Postmaster of Hartford, and he was the keeper of a tavern there. Joseph Pratt married Fanny Wadsworth (d. 1838) on 11 December 1802 in Hartford, Connecticut. They had twelve children. After Fanny's death, he married her sister, Charlotte Wadsworth (d. 1875), on 6 December 1839. They had one child. Joseph Pratt died 6 March 1852 on Opelousas, Louisianna.
