Prudence Punderson

BiographyPrudence Punderson was born in Groton, Connecticut, on 28 July 1758. She was the daughter of Ebenezer Punderson and Prudence Geer Punderson. Because her family were Episcopal-Loyalists, they were forced to flee to Long Island in 1778 during the American Revolution.
Prudence Punderson married Dr. Timothy Wells Rossiter, son of Reverend Asher and Abigail Wells Rossiter, at East Hampton, Long Island, New York. Prudence Punderson Rossiter died in August 1784, shortly after giving birth to her daughter, Sophia. Her death was probably in Preston, Connecticut.
