BiographyCaleb Benton, Jr. (1742-1831) was the son of Caleb Benton, Sr. (1706-1782) of Guilford, Connecticut. In 1794, Caleb Benton Jr. relocated to Amenia, New York. He had at least two sons; the youngest was William A. Benton (1788-1865).
