James Liddell Goldie

James L. Goldie was born in Dorchester, Massachusetts on 15 December 1890. He was trained as an artist and later worked as a gilder and possibly as a silversmith. He lived in Hartford and Simsbury, Connecticut; during the 1930s he was employed by the Works Progress Administration. His wife Ruth was a member of the Rising family of Springfield, Massachusetts. They had at least two children: Beth, and Ellen (Lacondia). He died on 22 September 1986 and is buried in the Rising family plot in Springfield.
