BiographySamuel Jones was born in 1749. He was the son of Captain Israel Jones (1716-1798), who purchased the Jones family homestead in Barkhamsted, Connecticut, in 1759. Samuel Jones had at least one son, Elijah Jones. Samuel Jones died in 1822.
