Mary ChaplinAmerican, 1748 - 1816

Mary Chaplin was born in Mansfield, Connecticut, on 30 March 1748. She was the daughter of Mary Paine Chaplin and Deacon Benjamin Chaplin. Mary Chaplin was a very religious woman; she became a public teacher of religion in 1773. She married Ephraim Perkins (1745-1813) on 7 March 1771 in Mansfield, Connecticut. Soon after, she and her husband moved to Becket, Massachusetts. They had eight sons. Mary Chaplin Perkins died 24 February 1816 in Becket, Massachusetts.
