BiographyHarriet Mitchell was born 12 January 1793, and was baptised 5 May 1793. She was the daughter of Stephen Mix Mitchell (1743-1835) and Hannah Grant Mitchell (1749-1830). She never married. In her later years she lived with the family of her nephew, Stephen Mix Mitchell, III. Harriet Mitchell died in July 1878 at age 85.
