BiographyLevi Roys (or Royce) was born in 1778. He was the son of Abner Roys, who was born in Sheffield, Massachusetts, in 1746. His grandfather, Joash Roys (b. 1716) settled in Sheffield after leaving the Royce family homestead in Wallingford, Connecticut, in the 1740s.
