D. NeedhamAmerican, 1808 - 1888

Dwight Needham was born in Wales, MA. By 1831, he was in Buffalo, NY, where he married Anna Henshaw on July 12. During the late 1840s, when Needham was active as a map publisher, he co-published numerous Kellogg lithographic prints. He purchased federal lands in Henry, IL and moved there with his family about 1851. By 1868, he was in Chicago, acting as a dealer for Watson's Western Maps. He is also listed in the 1880 Census as a red clover dealer.
