Louis Orr

BiographyLouis Orr was born on 19 May 1879 in Hartford, Connecticut. A scholarship from the Hartford Art Society (later the Hartford Art School) enabled him to go to Paris in 1906 to study art. He is best known for his etchings, which include many views of Hartford and well as numerous French subjects. He died in Paris in 1966. The Connecticut Historical Society has a large collection of his prints of Hartford.
