BiographyReverend Eliphalet Williams was born 4 February 1727, and he graduated from Yale College in 1743. He served as the pastor of Congregational Church in East Hartford, Connecticut, from 1748 to 1801. Reverend Williams married Mary Williams (1725-1776), daughter of Reverand Elisha Williams (1694-1755) and Eunice Chester (1695-1750) in 1751. They had at least one daughter, Mary Williams (1765-1844). He married second, Sarah Parsons, on 12 June 1777. They had at least one son. Their home, on the east side of Main Street in East Hartford, was built by Benjamin Roberts in about 1755; it was demolished in 1906. Reverend Williams served in the ministry for 56 years; he died 29 June 1803 at age 77.
