Thomas Stoughton IV

BiographyA carpenter and joiner, Thomas Stoughton IV settled on the east side of the Connecticut River in the 1680s and was instrumental in establishing Windsor's Second Congregational Church in the east side settlement. In 1691, Thomas Stoughton IV married Dorothy Talcott (1665-1696). Following her death, Stoughton married Abigial Edwards, the sister of the Reverend Timothy Edwards, minister at the Second Congregational Church.
