BiographyMartha Pitkin was born 28 February 1691. She was the daughter of Chief Justice William Pitkin and Mary Stanley Pitkin. She married Thomas Welles (1692-1767) on 28 December 1715. They had at least one daughter, Mary Welles Hale (1735-1814). Martha Pitkin Welles died 4 July 1763.
