Hough family

BiographyThe Hough family came to America from Cheshire, England, and first settled in Gloucester, Massachusetts. Gradually, branches of the family moved to New London and Norwich, Connecticut. Some members of the Hough family helped found Bozrah, Connecticut. Family stories say that John Hilliard Hough, 1827-1902, built the farm house on the 300-acre Hough Family Farm. The house may still be visible from Route 163.
