BiographySilvanus Nettleton was born in 1704 in Milford, Connecticut. He was the son of Samuel Nettleton of Milford, who married in 1681, and the grandson of Samuel Nettleton, who was born in England. Silvanus Nettleton had at least one son, Joseph Nettleton (1741-1799), who married Mary Burwell in about 1765 and moved to Watertown, Connecticut.
