BiographyNathan Birdsey McEwen was born 23 April 1806 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He was the son of Tryphena Gorham McEwen (about 1786-1854) and Joel McEwen (1773-1853). Nathan Birdsey McEwen lived in Stratford, Connecticut. He was a colonial revivalist, collector, and antiquarian who is quoted repeatedly in Orcutt's A History of the Old Town of Stratford. He married Jula Abby Lewis (b. 1828) on 15 June 1864 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Nathan Birdsey McEwen died in 1880.
