Ellis Amelia Huntley

BiographyEllis Amelia Huntley was born on 13 March 1819 in Lyme, Connecticut; a sampler she made in 1831 says she was twelve years old at the time. Her parents were Richard Huntley (1780-1841) and Sally Kimball Huntley (1788-1859). Ellis Amelia Huntley was a schoolteacher. She had at least eight siblings: Sophia (b. 1808); Richard H. (b. about 1810); Elijah Kimball (b. 1811); Mary A. (b. about 1812); Emeline Deliverance (1813-1878); John Whittlesey (1816-1854); Erastus (1823-1900); and Elizabeth Perry (1826-1915). She never married and died on 22 June 1860.
