Annis Jennet Filley

Annis Jennet Filley was born 9 January 1817, the daughter of Annis Humphrey Filley (1785-1868) and Oliver Filley (1784-1846) who married 8 May 1805. Annis Filley's father, Oliver Filley, began a tinware business in about 1806 in Bloomfield, Connecticut. Annis Filley had six brothers: Oliver Dwight (1806-1881); Marcus Lucius (1807-1892); Jay Humphrey (1810-1892); Joseph Earl (1810-1812); Giles Franklin (1815-1900); and John Eldridge (1818-1847). On 24 May 1854 in Bloomfield she married Samuel John Chapman (b. 1822).
