BiographyEsther Coggeshall was born 3 January 1764 in Newport, Rhode Island; she was baptised 15 January 1764. She was the daughter of Billings Coggeshall (1732-1810) and Mary Collin (1736-1769), his first wife. (He married second, Lydia Hammett (1739-1829), they had four children.) Esther had seven full siblings and four half siblings. It appears that Esther Coggeshall never married. She died in Newport, Rhode Island.
