BiographyAlicia Lawrence was born on 10 August 1787, the daughter of William Lawrence (1751-1821) and Alice Adams Ripley Lawrence (1757-1845). She had three siblings: Sarah Lawrence (1784-1866); William Henry Lawrence (b. 1789); and Roderick Lawrence (b. 1792). Alicia Lawrence married Charles Sheldon Esq. and they had two children: Sarah Sheldon (d. 1911) and Catharine Sheldon who died when she was 11. Alicia Lawrence Sheldon died on 26 November 1866.
