Elisha Lord

Elisha Lord was born 15 March 1700/01 in Hartford, Connecticut, son of Richard and Abigail (Warren) Lord of Hartford, Connecticut. He graduated from Yale in 1718. He married his second cousin, Mary Haynes of Boston, Massachusetts, daughter of Judge John and Mary (Glover) Haynes of Hartford, Connecticut on 4 May 1723. They had one child. Elisha Lord died 15 April 1725 in Hartford, Connecticut, at age 24. He was the brother of Mary Lord, great grandfather of Haynes Lord, and great great grandfather of John Haynes Lord. After Elisha Lord's death, his widow married Roswell Saltonstall of Branford, Connecticut who died in 1783, and she married Reverend Timothy clap of Windham, Connecticut, President of Yale College.
