Shubael Banks Cotton

Shubael Banks Cotton was born 14 April 1792 in Middletown, Connecticut. His parents are unknown. On 27 June 1811, he married Harriet Dickinson (1789-1857) in Middletown, Connecticut; they had four children. According to the New York City Directories of 1820-1841, Subael Banks Cotton appears variously as a grocer, shipmaster, tinsmith, revenue cutter, "c sealer", and (in his final entry) "no occupation". He died in Alpine, New York, in 1868.
