Rebecca Porter

BiographyRebecca Porter was born in May 1791; on a sampler she made in March 1800, she identified her age as "8 Years and 10 Months". She was the daughter of Solomon Porter, Esq. (1758-1821) and Rebecca Dodd Porter (baptized 1752-1825) of Hartford, Connecticut. Rebecca Porter married William Connor (d. 1870) of Hartford, Connecticut, on 17 October 1815. They had six children: William Connor; Maria Connor (about 1817-1897); Solomon Porter (about 1828-1872); Charles Connor (about 1831-1847); Rebecca Porter Connor(about 1825-1843); and Elizabeth Porter Conner (1825-1886). Rebecca Porter Conner died on 10 March 1872 in Hartford, Connecticut. She is buried in Spring Grove Cemetery in Hartford, Connecticut.
