BiographyThe Glastenbury Glass Factory Company was established due to a shortage of glass imports during the War of 1812; the company is first documented in 1816. The works stayed in business until 1827 or 1833. The works are known for their free-blown, pattern-molded and mold-blown green glass bottles.

Note: Original documentation for the glass works gives the name of the company as the "Glastenbury Glass Factory Company". Contemporary spelling of the name of the town is Glastonbury.
