Mount Vernon Glass Works

BiographyOn 17 February 1810, the New York state legislature passed an act incorporating the Mount Vernon Glass Company of Vernon, New York. In 1844, the works were moved to Mt. Pleasant, Saratoga, New York, due to dwindling wood supplies on the original property. At that time the company was renamed the Saratoga Mountain Glass Works.
