Goodale & StedmanAmerican, 1822 - 1825
Daniel Goodale, Jr., of Whately, Massachusetts, was a potter. He moved to Hartford, Connecticut, to manage the pottery of Captain George Benton and Captain Levi Stuart, two retired sea captains. In 1822 he purchased the pottery with Absalon Stedman, forming Goodale & Stedman. In 1825 Stedman sold his share of the business to Goodale. Goodale continued in possession until about 1830, when he sold the works to Thomas C. Perkins. The following year, Goodwin and Webster acquired the pottery.
