Vernon Kilns

The pottery started in 1916, and until 1928 it was called Poxon China, Ltd. From 1928 to 1948 the name was Vernon Potteries. Vernon Kilns was taken over by Metlox Potteries in 1958 and ceased production in 1960. Vernon Kilns had two artists who designed ware, Don Blanding and Rockwell Kent. Vernon Kilns issued several plate series including 48 states plates, 44 city plates, and 37 plates with regional designs.
