BiographyChester Chapman was born in Ellington, Connecticut on 24 June 1799, the son of Captain Samuel and Mary (Carlton) Chapman. He married Abigail Loomis in March of 1832 and they had four children. She died on16 March 1840, and he married Elizabeth Bull (1824-1888) of Ellington, Connecticut, by whom he had five children, one of whom was Eustace Chester Chapman (1841-1893). Chester Chapman died in 1859 in Ellington, Connecticut.
