Luman Pierre KelseyAmerican, 1905 - 1961

Luman Pierre Kelsey was born in Colorado on 6 January 1905. He was a self-taught photography, sculptor and potter, who used his own kiln to make pottery in the 1930s. Luman Kelsey married Dorthea Storey, and they moved to North Canton, Connecticut during the Depression. They had a daughter, Sylvia Kelsey (Mrs. John Henry Wiedenheft II). Dorthea Storey Kelsey is also an artist; she is an accomplished painter whose work has been shown in many parts of the United States. Luman Kelsey died in North Canton, Connecticut, on 24 April 1961.
