BiographyGeorge Douglas Rankin of Old Saybrook, Connecticut, was the President of the Hartford Faience Company in Hartford, Connecticut. On 14 December 1904, he married Margaret Lillian Hallberg (1882-1968) of Chicago, Illinois. They had four children: George Douglas Rankin, Jr.; Lawrence H. "Bud" Rankin; Margaret Almira Estey Rankin (1908-2004); and Florence Julia Peabody Rankin.
